Xiaofeng Wang is a lecturer and researcher at Faculty of Computer Science of Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Her interest in Lean startup was triggered by her research on agile and lean software development and close contact with the software communities that aspire to create ever more innovative and game changing software-intensive products and solutions. She believes that entrepreneurship mentality and spirit can change the way we approach our work and daily life as well.
Khanna Dron | Italy
Dron is a Teaching Assistant and researcher at the Faculty of Computer Science in the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano. Currently working with a group of PhD students and researchers to assist entrepreneurs in building up their business ideas into Startups at startuppuccino. Dron comes from New Delhi in India, a pro chef (Unibz - friends reviews), loves to organise events and believes in the Lean Startup principle - Fail Faster, Succeed Sooner.
Cigdem Gencel | Italy
Cigdem Gencel is a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Her research focus is providing novel solutions to real industrial challenges, particularly in the areas of software measurement, software project management and software quality and value management. She has recently been making research on how to measure and monitor customer value of software features to provide quick feedback to Lean Startups for their agile decision making needs.
Veglio Valerio | Italy
Valerio Veg
lio is Assistant Professor of International Management at the Free University of Bozen since May 2018. Previously, he was a post-doc research fellow at Bocconi University, Universitá della Svizzera Italiana, and University of Southampton (UK). He was also Adjunct Professor of Management at the University of Milan-Bicocca, where in 2013 he got his PhD in Marketing and Management in collaboration with the University of Aberdeen (UK). He carries out research on how firms perceive and react to the competitive threat caused by digitalization, with particular attention at exploring how smart and connected products generate new and innovative governance and coordination mechanisms of global value chains.
Abrahamsson Pekka | Finland
Pekka is professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim. Pekka's mission is to increase the University's impact on the region. Pekka set up the lean startup course in 2012 and now it is open for the whole university attracting students from all the five FUB disciplines: design & arts, computer science, school of economics, communication science and science & technology.
Pekka comes from Lapland in Finland and has a strong background also in sports. He played in the national team of Finland american football for years. In his free time, Pekka reads history, cooks Italian cuisine and together with his lovely wife Katja, takes long walks with his Irish wolfhound Kiira. Pekka's motto captures an important part of his nature: "Perseverantia vincit".

Sohaib Shahid Bajwa is a PhD student at FUB CS Faculty. His current research work is related to pivots in software startups. he has been working in academia for almost five years (2009 - 2014). He also has experience of working as a Software Engineer for two years. Other than studying, travelling and visiting different places is my hobby.

Mastachi Naomi | Mexico
Naomi is a Mexican Industrial Designer who enjoys following creative processes in order to bring down ideas to their realization. Her skills have been developed through different experiences that represent her interest and pleasure of learning from multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. She delivers creative solutions to the design, visual and research needs that are required at the Software Factory group. Her design vision encompasses objects, services and products that bring solutions and tell stories.
Through the different projects she is following, she is assisting the Lean Startup course. Holder of Master Degree on Product Design, Naomi's Design Thinking and Product Design background contributes with an integral viewpoint to the projects developed in course.
Melegati Jorge | Italy
Jorge is a PhD student in Computer Science at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He has more than seven years experience as a software developer including five years spent in Cuponomia, a Brazilian website for online promotions, that he helped to found. He holds a Master in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo where he researched requirements engineering in the context of software startups.
